John F KennedyBorn May 29, 1917 in Brookline, brother of Ted Kennedy, Massachusetts John F. Kennedy was a Harvard graduate. He served in the Navy and his efforts aboard PT-109 has garnered full length books. Starting his political career as a Massachusetts Congressman Kennedy soon advanced to Senate in 1953. That same year he married his wife, Jackie. In 1955 he wrote Pulitzer Prize winner Profiles in Courage. John ran against Nixon for one of the closest presidential races. Winning by only a slight margin Kennedy became the first and only Roman Catholic president. The most notable events he was involved with include: the Bay of Pigs, the Cuban Missile Crisis of which he worked closely with RFK, the Berlin Wall, and the Space Race. His presidency would only last three short years for he was assassinated November 22, 1963 by Lee Harvey Oswald.
